My Perspective of the 2010 Dream Act

Millions of student graduate from U.S. high schools every year. Most of the students then go to college for better opportunity. More than 67,000 do not have this opportunity because most are illegal immigrants. Illegal immigrants ,by U.S. law ,are now not allowed to attend college in America. That's why the Dream Act came along. This bill would provide certain illegal students who graduate from U.S. without being American citizens. Otherwise they would have to serve in the military for at least two years to become a citizen first. This is very important for students who want to go to college. I'm sure you've seen them protesting on the news or somewhere nearby. In my opinion ,we are not illegal! We deserve freedom just like any group of people in the world. We should have an opportunity for a better chance in life.

  2. The bill failed in the senate which means it won't pass this year. :( Let's hope something changes and next year looks brighter!
