In Module 2, students browsed listofcollegesanduniversities.com and picked five of their favorite schools. Of the five, they were to then narrow their list down to just two picks. I made sure to encourage them to not limit themselves in choice. I want them to consider Ivy League schools, HBCUs, two-year community colleges, and even technical schools if they wanted. In the end, I felt this was a very productive meeting. In Module 3 we're going to begin looking at potential college majors. See pics below....

ReplyDeleteLove, love, love, love it!!! When I was in there making copies this afternoon when your crew came in, I had no idea all of this was going to go on! :) Keep it up, Teamie! And, boys, I'm proud of each and every one of you... even the ones I don't personally teach. You are becoming fine young men that others will look up to in life.
ReplyDeleteLove the blog! Sorry it took me so long to join. What I've seen and read so far is awesome! You and Bro Ketrell are doing great things with these young fellas. You should be proud and the guys should feel fortunate to have great role models and real men to look up to. To the young guys in all these pictures, be proud of what you are doing. Hold your head up, strive to the be the best and believe in your dreams. From the words of Mr. Shakespeare's father, "Knowledge is power-You believe it, You achieve it" Wish you all the best.
ReplyDeleteKeep up the good work.
