We learned that a hockey game is in many ways different from an NBA or NFL game. One way is that players can sub in the game any time they get ready to go in; they don't have to wait at the scorers table like they do in basketball. Also, there are only 3 17 minute periods, not 4 quarters.
In the middle of the 2nd quarter, Thrasher goalie, Ondrej Pavelec, gets hit in the eye with the hockey puck! They had to stop the game for a few minutes. He seems to be alright for now. However, the Thrashers are still losing 1-0. Again! In the middle of the 3rd quarter, the Blue Jackets score again and now it's 2-0! It doesn't look like our Thrashers are going to pull this one off. I was right; the final score is 3-0.
We all enjoyed the Thrashers game because is was a free trip, we ate pizza before we left, and most of us never been to a hockey game before. Thank you Mr. Shakespeare, Mr. Kellum, and Mr. Hutton!

Shakespeare an Kellum trying to be cool! LOL!
Well written young man. I am thrilled to read that your group enjoyed their first hockey game. I like how you compared hockey to more popular sports in our community such as basketball and football. I hope to read many more new, exciting adventures you take with your mentor Mr. Shakespeare.
